MISSION

TRIPS INLAND become increasingly rare as fernando’s responsibilities coast seaside. the only reason to venture this far inland is for the occasional venture into the MECHANICAL KINGDOM. even the SILENT ICELANDS have dwindled in size, a sure measure that hoenn returns to a state of homeostasis.

which makes his current visit purposeful and rushed, a circumstance of bundling too many tasks at once. so, fernando sits at a local mom and pop shop, reading over their one page menu as he waits for his guest.

She's a little slow in taking in her surroundings, so it falls to Reiner to tug her along. Bright eyes settle upon the councilman, a brief dip of his head pulling Eris back into reality as she too finally perceives his presence. And she blinks, awkwardly sliding herself into the seat across him.[break][break]

"Mmm..." She stares at the empty side of the menu, that barrier that sits between them. As if she might just be able to make out the words if she tries hard enough. With what they'd been through not too long ago, the answer upon her tongue is measured. "Could be better? Not dying at least."[break][break]

"Usually everyone's like, changing the region, fighting cosmic entities or stuff like that. But seeing all of them just... helpless to do anything. It was pretty weird to be honest."
